This video goes into great detail for every stage of manufacture of jewel bearings. It was fascinating to watch and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in jeweled bearings and the methods used to manufacture them. Of particular note: pressing diamond powder into forged copper to make a lap, shellac used as an adhesive for holding jewels during grinding, and the use of Borax and Diamond powder to make abrasive clylinders used to create the dish or bowl in the jewels. There are a lot of hidden gems in this video if you'll pardon the pun. Bravo, thanks to the uploader!
